Rockstar Games has announced that GTA 6 is expected to be released in 2025, although an exact release date has not yet been set.
It was recently announced that the development team is entering the final phase of development, which is why employees are now being called into the office for a 5-day week.
A new indication now suggests that the game’s release date may be getting closer and closer. One interesting point is a job advertisement from Rockstar Lincoln, which is looking for a localization tester for Russian.
This role involves testing the Russian version of the game, including checking game text for grammatical, stylistic and cultural accuracy, as well as testing functionality and audio content to ensure the game is appropriate for the Russian audience.
It is particularly revealing that this position is only limited to 12 months. This suggests that Rockstar is planning to release GTA 6 within this time frame, as such test tasks usually take place towards the end of the development process.
The question of GTA 6’s exact release date remains unanswered, but speculation points to the first quarter of 2025. This is supported by the expectation of Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, which expects record sales for the 2025 financial year, which runs from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025, with GTA 6 seen as the main factor in this success.
