Rockstar Games announced back in April that L.A. Noire and Bully will be added to GTA Online’s GTA+ later this year.
Now Rockstar Games has officially announced in a post on the official website that L.A. Noire will be available for free download for all GTA+ members from Wednesday, May 2.
L.A. Noire was first released in 2011 and, like Bully, is a rather unusual game in Rockstar Games’ portfolio, which otherwise mainly consists of series such as Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption. The crime thriller is set in 1947 Los Angeles, and the player takes on the role of detective Cole Phelps. In contrast to the GTA games, L.A. Noire is about solving crimes, not committing them.
“Solve cases inspired by real crimes from 1947 Los Angeles – one of the most corrupt and violent times in L.A. history – as you attempt to find the truth in a city where everyone has something to hide,” an overview of the game explained.
“Utilizing revolutionary facial animation technology that captures every nuance of an actor’s facial performance in astonishing detail, L.A. Noire blends breathtaking action with true detective work for an unprecedented interactive experience.”
As a special homage to L.A. Noire, GTA+ members can also get two vintage luxury vehicles from Legendary Motorsport in GTA Online from tomorrow: the Classique Broadway (muscle car) and the Albany Roosevelt (classic car).
