Rockstar Games has announced the “next big update” for GTA Online, where you’ll have to use your own bail enforcement and bounty hunting business to target and capture the criminals roaming southern San Andreas.
According to the official Rockstar Newswire, Vincent needs your support to assert his authority without official supervision. To do this, you will have to get behind the wheel of your tuned patrol car and carry out a series of unofficial police activities in Los Santos.
There is also talk that the summer update will include a number of new vehicles for your collection.
What can we expect in Bottom Dollar Bounties?
As Rockstar writes, Maude Eccles is looking for a replacement for her bail bureau, Bottom Dollar Bail Enforcement, to continue tracking down and apprehending Los Santos and Blaine County offenders.
In GTA Online: Bottom Dollar Bounties you work side by side with Maude’s daughter Jenette to hunt down all kinds of delinquent scum and collect bounties.
You’ll also be able to use new police vehicles to clean up the streets of southern San Andreas in unofficial patrols on behalf of LSPD Officer Vincent Effenburger. You can expect new drift and drag races in Rockstar Creator, a range of new vehicles, gameplay improvements and tons more in GTA Online this summer and beyond.
When will Bottom Dollar Bounties be released?
Rockstar Games will release the 2024 Summer Update called Bottom Dollar Bounties on Tuesday, June 25 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
What time will the update be released? Rockstar usually releases new updates at fixed times. We can therefore expect Bottom Dollar Bounties to be released and downloaded at around 11 a.m. German time.
How big is the summer update? You can already download the update on PS4 and PS5, which means that the size of the download is also known:
- PS4: 3,467 GB
- PS5: 2,526 GB
The download size should be similar on the other platforms. The preload should also be available on Xbox consoles shortly. However, those playing on PC or Stream Deck will have to wait until next Tuesday.
Experience Updates
Rockstar also mentions that the summer update contains various changes based on the wishes and feedback of the community
These changes include a longer timer in sales missions to make it easier for single players to complete Biker and Gunrunning sales, the ability to automatically refill snacks at the start of most missions, a defensive ability and armor buff for the Sparrow and Bombushka, and more.
In addition, the base payouts for Open Wheel Races, Taxi Work and many contact missions will be increased. In this way, the developer wants to ensure that fun and fair winnings are guaranteed in all missions.

Creator Upgrades
Creators in GTA Online will receive new tools and features in the Summer Update to create custom tracks for drift racing and drag racing, as well as the ability to place new units on all tracks, including drivers doing donuts, bouncing lowriders, spectator animations and more.
Rockstar also emphasizes in the newswire that testing races is now easier. Creators can now start tests at any checkpoint and they also have the option to drive several laps in drag races before the winner is determined. These and other improvements should help the community to create and share their races, deathmatches and other modes.
What’s new with GTA+?
GTA+ Members on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will get to claim the new Överflöd Pipistrello (Super) for free as part of their Member benefits on the day this summer’s update launches — a week before it becomes available to all players. And through August, GTA+ Members are still receiving an extra bonus of GTA$1,000,000 every month alongside their usual GTA$500,000, in addition to all the other amazing Member benefits.
